Chief Marketing Officer
Roles and responsibilities
- The CMO plays a pivotal role in driving SEC Industries' growth strategy forward. Tasked
with providing strategic leadership and direction, the CMO ensures continuity and
fosters sustainable growth across all marketing initiatives.
- Identification of new markets (Local and international) for current portfolio and also
expansion of portfolio.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining of strong relationships with customers
(New and existing), facilitating seamless communication and collaboration.
- Heading client acquisitions within the private, public (Gov and Non-Gov) segment to
identify and capitalise on lucrative opportunities.
- Should collaborate and work closely with various sectors of DRDO, Indian Army, Navy
and air force harnessing synergies to drive innovation and propel the development of
new product lines.
- Building a strong business development and Marketing team with the ability to
coordinate and navigate through leads given across verticals and also maintain customer
relationship.
- Collaborating with Start ups and universities for new products with potential
- Identifying tenders, final estimation, Quote/offer structuring, tendering, negotiation,
post PO project coordination.
- Responsible for project scheduling, prioritisation and will have to work jointly with the
CTO on this.
- Responsible for all customer communication and relationships
- Ensure project profitability and also coordinate for timely payments with customers.
Prerequisites
- Must have worked with a wide verity of companies in the aerospace, defence, space and
aviation sector (Indian and International)
- Must have excellent communication skills and project coordination abilities.
- Must have led a business development team having expertise handling in Gov/Non-Gov
PSU, Large multinational companies.
- Must have sufficient knowledge and experience in International partnership structuring.
- Should have Expertise in foreseeing requirements and identifying new products that can
be made/ developed.
- Should have very good expertise in market research
- Should have good knowledge in GEM portal research and tendering
- Should have a good rapport with PSU's and Private companies in the defence, aviation
and space sector.
- Should have good knowledge in estimation, quotation terms formatting.
- Should be very skilled in negotiation
- Should be skilled in Project Planning and prioritising
- Preferable to have good exposure towards Cash flow management.
The CMO must hold an engineering degree (Mechanical preferable and definitely not
computer or electronics based) from a top-tier college, supplemented by an MBA or
equivalent qualification from a reputed institute. He should have a minimum of 10-15
years experience in defence, aerospace and space sector (additionally aviation and naval
would be preferable) working with Private industries, PSU (Gov and Non-Gov) and also
with reputed International companies.
