BRIEF PROFILE AND WORK EXPECTATIONS FROM THE CANDIDATE:
Run the IND AS 117 Steercom, weekly update call with senior leaders.
Run the IND AS 117 Project Management Office.
IND AS 117 proforma financials as asked by the regulator.
Actively participation on IND AS working group calls
Track the IND AS 117 progress as per agreed project plan.
Conducting sessions with senior leaders on IND AS 117 with the help of consultant or own its own.
Capability building on IND AS 117 through engaging cross functional teams.
Review the outputs of UAT, test cases and provide the sign off
Ability to conduct process walk-throughs of current processes and highlight / recommend process gaps, flaws and process changes.
Ability to map peer company's stand / policy choices considered on IND AS 117
Ability to run summary presentations for facilitating discussions at various levels viz., Steer Co, parent companies, industry forums, etc.
Understand and run IND AS 117 process and system changes related to insurance products
Ability to review various checks and controls on data accuracy and completeness (Premium, Claims, Commission validation).
Ability to understand data flows across systems from source to target and data architecture under Ind AS
Having the foresight to draw down activities in a large-scale Ind AS project, list down pitfalls / bottlenecks, be solution oriented and drive the results for the work stream
Ability to work with cross-functional teams especially actuarial and technology.
DESIRED COMPETENCES/QUALIFICATIONS:
Chartered Accountant
Minimum 10-15 years of experience post qualification
Life Insurance experience in financials / Regulatory reporting or Big 4 experience in IFRS 17 implementation
Good knowledge of IND AS, Accounting Standards, IRDAI regulations etc.
