Position Title


Chief Manager - Bidding

Position Summary


To lead the design and development of tender bids, complete with competitive pricing, cost scenarios, project plans and risk assessment.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities


  • Program manage and drive governance of various bids being participated in (from RFQ release to RFP submission) to ensure:
  • Timeliness: adherence to defined milestones by members of various cross-functional teams
  • Quality: relevant inputs and sign-offs on critical bid assumptions
  • Conduct opportunity mapping in coordination with Head of Business Development to ensure all relevant bids in the pipeline mapped with relevant background data
  • Develop guidelines, SOPs and estimation methodologies for developing bids
  • Understanding of the entire value chain from (RFQ to RFP submission) and as such ability to work with multi-function teams across SCM, Design & Engineering, Finance and BD.
  • Manage a team consisting of bid managers and bid support staff involved in day-to-day development of bid models and responses.
  • Enable various review committees to take suitable decisions on various bids (go vs no-go, cost estimates)

Critical Success Factors - Essential


  • 12-16 years of experience in Bidding / Business Acquisition / development in Infrastructure, Power, O&G sector.
  • Good understanding of various commercial models, capex, cost scenarios and possible risks attached to the projects
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x98s / Master\'s degree in Engineering in Electronics / Electrical / Power


Critical Success Factors - Desirable


  • In-depth technical know-how about power transmission
  • MBA from Premier Institute
  • Understanding of BOOM/BOOT model and EPC landscape in transmission
