The Chief Learning Officer (CLO) is a key leadership position responsible for designing, implementing, and supervising all academic, communication, and operational learning standards in the pre-school. The CLO ensures high-quality early childhood education, manages curriculum delivery, supports teachers, and maintains communication with parents while handling all essential administrative and learning-related criteria.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic & Curriculum Management
Develop, review, and implement age-appropriate curriculum for early learners.
Ensure teaching methodologies follow modern early childhood education standards.
Monitor classroom activities and maintain learning quality.
Train teachers regularly on lesson planning, child development, and classroom management.
2. Communication & Parent Engagement
Maintain strong communication between school staff and parents.
Conduct parent orientations, counselling sessions, and regular progress meetings.
Handle parent queries, concerns, and feedback professionally.
Prepare regular updates, newsletters, and communication materials.
3. Staff Management & Leadership
Supervise, guide, and support teachers and support staff.
Conduct training workshops and performance evaluations.
Foster a positive school culture with teamwork and professionalism.
Recruit and onboard teaching staff when needed.
4. School Operations & Compliance
Ensure smooth daily operations of classrooms and learning facilities.
Maintain documentation, reports, attendance, and student records.
Ensure adherence to safety, hygiene, and compliance standards.
Coordinate with administration for events, admissions, and school activities.
5. Child Growth & Behaviour Monitoring
Track students' emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Work with teachers to identify special needs or learning gaps.
Formulate intervention plans when required.
6. Event & Activity Management
Plan and execute annual functions, celebrations, competitions, and parent-child activities.
Ensure events align with learning goals and development outcomes.
