Financial Strategy & Leadership

Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business goals Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board on growth, expansion, and investment decisions Provide financial insights to support product pricing, store expansion, and market entry
Financial Planning & Analysis

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning Analyze profitability by product line (gold, diamond, platinum, gemstones), store, and channel Monitor key financial metrics and recommend corrective actions
Accounting, Controls & Compliance

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards Establish and maintain strong internal controls and audit processes Ensure compliance with tax laws, GST/VAT, customs, hallmarking regulations, and industry standards Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory authorities
Inventory & Working Capital Management

Oversee valuation, control, and reconciliation of high-value jewellery inventory Manage working capital, cash flow cycles, and credit policies Optimize stock turnover while balancing design trends and market demand
Risk Management

Manage exposure to gold, diamond, and foreign exchange price fluctuations Develop hedging strategies for precious metals and currency risks Oversee insurance coverage for inventory, transit, and retail locations
Treasury & Funding

Manage banking relationships, loans, credit lines, and trade finance Oversee capital structure and funding for expansion, manufacturing, or retail growth Evaluate mergers, acquisitions, or strategic partnerships
Team Leadership

Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team Drive process improvements and financial systems modernization (ERP, POS integration)
Qualifications & Experience

Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CFA, or MBA in Finance preferred 10-15+ years of senior finance experience, preferably in jewellery, retail, luxury goods, or manufacturing Strong understanding of inventory-intensive and high-value product businesses Experience with multi-location retail, exports, or international operations is an advantage
