Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
to lead the financial management of our hospital/healthcare organization. The CFO will be responsible for financial planning, risk management, compliance, and business strategy support to ensure sustainable growth and operational efficiency. This role requires strong expertise in hospital finance, regulatory compliance, and healthcare business models.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with hospital growth objectives.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Provide financial insights and decision support to the CEO and Board.
2. Financial Operations & Controls
Oversee end-to-end finance operations: accounting, billing, audits, taxation, treasury, and payroll.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and MIS reports.
Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
3. Hospital Finance & Business Performance
Monitor hospital revenue cycles (billing, insurance claims, collections, reimbursements).
Optimize cost structures while maintaining quality patient care.
Evaluate business viability of new service lines (specialties, diagnostics, wellness programs).
Drive efficiency in procurement, vendor negotiations, and resource allocation.
4. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (Income Tax, GST, Companies Act, hospital-specific regulations).
Manage audits (internal, statutory, NABH, NABL) and liaise with auditors, regulators, and government agencies.
Establish risk management policies to safeguard financial health.
5. Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Partner with clinical and operational leadership to align financial goals with hospital priorities.
Support fundraising, capital structuring, and investor relations where applicable.
Lead financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and expansions.
Present financial performance and strategies to the Board and senior leadership.
6. Team Leadership
Build and mentor a high-performing finance team.
Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
Must-Have:
CA / CPA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
20+ years of experience in finance leadership,
Strong understanding of
hospital revenue cycle management, insurance, reimbursements, and healthcare cost models
.
Proven experience in
financial planning, audits, compliance, and risk management
.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred:
Experience in
multi-specialty hospitals, healthcare chains, or large healthcare organizations
.
Exposure to
fundraising, healthcare investments, or public-private partnerships
.
Familiarity with
digital transformation in finance and healthcare ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/etc.)
.
