Role Summary:



The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) is responsible for managing the school's overall financial strategy and ensuring its long-term sustainability. The role involves overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, fund flow management, and compliance while supporting the leadership team in strategic and operational decision-making. The CFO plays a key role in planning and establishing effective fund flow systems to maintain financial stability and support future growth initiatives and building external financial partnerships to strengthen the institution's long-term stability.

Key Responsibilities: Investment & Equity:



Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with potential equity investors, philanthropists, strategic partners, and donors. Prepare compelling investment pitches, financial proposals, and business plans to attract and secure funding. Manage investor relations, ensuring timely reporting and regular updates. Organize investor meetings, roadshows, and events to build trust and long-term partnerships.

Debt Financing (Loans):



Negotiate and arrange various types of loans (term loans, working capital, overdrafts, project loans) from banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions. Manage the end-to-end process of loan documentation and compliance. Foster and maintain strong relationships with lenders to secure favorable terms. Monitor debt obligations and repayment schedules, ensuring timely payments and compliance.

Financial Planning & Management:



Collaborate with the finance team to assess capital needs and align funding strategies with institutional goals. Prepare and maintain financial models, cash flow forecasts, budgets, and reports. Provide accurate and timely reporting on fund utilization and financial performance to management and stakeholders.

Requirements: Educational & Professional Qualifications:



MBA in Finance, Chartered Accountant (CA), or Postgraduate in Commerce or a related field.

Experience:



7-10 years of experience in corporate finance, fundraising, debt financing, or investor relations. Proven track record in raising significant equity and debt funding, preferably in the education, healthcare, or social-impact sectors.

Key Competencies:



Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and strategic financial planning. In-depth knowledge of banking processes, loan documentation, and compliance. Ability to manage investor relationships with a professional and strategic approach.

Preferred Qualities:



Established network with banks, NBFCs, investors, and philanthropic circles. Prior experience in educational institutions or social-impact organizations. Capacity to manage complex financial arrangements and navigate financial challenges effectively.
