The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company. The CFO's primary duties include managing the company's financial planning, ensuring financial stability, maintaining investor and stakeholder confidence, and driving strategies that support sustainable business growth.
Develop and implement the organization's financial strategy aligned with business goals.
Provide financial forecasts, budgets, and analysis to guide executive decisions.
Evaluate investment opportunities and capital allocation.
Manage long-term financial planning and scenario analysis.
2. Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee accounting, budgeting, auditing, and reporting processes.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Present financial reports and insights to the Board of Directors, investors, and stakeholders.
Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial performance metrics.
3. Risk Management & Compliance
Identify and mitigate financial risks, including credit, liquidity, and operational risks.
Ensure adherence to tax laws, financial regulations, and internal controls.
Coordinate with auditors and external regulatory bodies as required.
Implement strong governance and compliance frameworks.
4. Leadership & Team Development
Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams to build high-performing units.
Promote a culture of financial discipline and accountability across the organization.
Collaborate with other senior executives (CEO, COO, CIO, CMO, etc.) to align strategies.
5. Funding & Investor Relations
Manage relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and financial institutions.
Lead efforts in fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, or IPO processes if applicable.
Communicate company financial health and performance to shareholders and the board.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation:
Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CMA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification.
Experience:
Minimum 7-9 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including at least
5 years
in a senior management role.
Proven track record in financial management, corporate strategy, and risk assessment.
Core Skills:
Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting standards (IND AS/IFRS), and tax laws.
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency with financial management software (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
