Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Partner with the CEO and Board of Directors to develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with business objectives.

Provide insights and recommendations on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.

Lead financial planning, modeling, and analysis to support strategic initiatives and business expansion.

Financial Management & Reporting

Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements in compliance with applicable regulations

Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes to ensure effective financial control.

Ensure robust internal controls and effective financial systems are in place.

Treasury & Cash Flow

Oversee cash management, investment strategies, and financing activities to optimize liquidity and capital structure.

Manage relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions.

Evaluate and execute capital-raising strategies including debt, equity, or alternative financing.

Risk Management & Compliance

Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and strategic risks.

Develop and maintain corporate governance and internal audit processes.

Team Leadership

Lead and develop the finance, accounting, and procurement teams.

Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Partner cross-functionally to support business units with financial insights and decision-making support.

Qualifications & Experience

Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CFA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification.

12-20 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.

Proven experience in strategic financial planning, fundraising, and investor relations.

Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial modeling, taxation, and compliance frameworks.

Experience in [insert industry--e.g., manufacturing, technology, financial services, etc.] preferred.
