Role Overview



We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization's financial planning, compliance, governance, and reporting. The CFO will play a critical role in ensuring financial sustainability, transparency, and regulatory compliance while supporting leadership in strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities



Financial Strategy & Leadership



Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with the organization's mission and growth plans.

Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, providing financial insights for decision-making.

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.

Accounting & Compliance



Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to NGOs.

Oversee accounting operations, audits, and financial controls.

Ensure adherence to Income Tax, GST, FCRA (if applicable), and other regulatory frameworks.

Grants, CSR & Fund Management



Manage utilization, reporting, and compliance for grants, donations, CSR funds, and government funding.

Prepare financial reports and utilization certificates for donors, CSR partners, and government agencies.

Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Governance & Risk Management



Establish strong internal controls and risk management frameworks.

Ensure financial transparency, ethical practices, and governance standards.

Support board reporting, financial disclosures, and statutory filings.

Team & Process Management



Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.

Streamline financial processes, systems, and reporting mechanisms.

Implement financial best practices and automation where applicable.

Required Qualifications & Experience



CA / MBA (Finance) / equivalent professional qualification (preferred).

10-15 years of senior-level finance leadership experience, preferably in CSR-driven organizations or social sector institutions.

Strong knowledge of accounting, statutory compliance, donor reporting, and audits.

Experience handling large budgets, multi-project funding, and stakeholder reporting.

Excellent analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

High level of integrity, professionalism, and strategic thinking.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
