job Description - Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / GM Finance Position: GM - Finance (CFO Role)Location: Dadar (West), Mumbai Reports To: Board of Directors / Managing Director Industry: Textile (Listed Company)Role Overview The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing the company's overall financial strategy, planning, and management. This includes statutory compliance, financial reporting, treasury, taxation, risk management, and investor relations. The CFO will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making, ensuring financial discipline, and maintaining transparency for stakeholders in line with SEBI and other regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Strategy Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.Support the Board and MD in evaluating investment opportunities, business expansion, and cost optimization.Financial Control & Reporting Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with Ind AS and regulatory requirements.Oversee consolidation of accounts, MIS reporting, and financial analysis for management decision-making.Ensure adherence to SEBI (LODR) requirements for financial disclosures and reporting.Compliance & Governance Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, FEMA, Companies Act, SEBI Regulations, and other statutory laws.Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.Implement robust internal control systems and risk management frameworks.Treasury & Working Capital Management Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital efficiently.Oversee fund-raising activities, banking relationships, and capital allocation.Optimize cost of capital and ensure effective debt management.Investor Relations & Board Support Manage investor relations, shareholder communications, and stock exchange disclosures.Present financial performance, risks, and strategic insights to the Board.Support corporate governance and transparency in financial reporting.Leadership & Team Management Lead and mentor the finance, accounts, and taxation teams.Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and ethical financial practices.Drive digital transformation and automation in finance functions.Qualifications & Experience Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification.12-20 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a listed/public limited company (preferably manufacturing/textile sector). Strong expertise in corporate finance, taxation, regulatory compliance, and investor relations.Proven experience in financial strategy, fund-raising, and working capital management.Key Skills Strategic financial planning and business acumen.Strong knowledge of SEBI, FEMA, Companies Act, and taxation laws.Excellent analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills.Effective communication and stakeholder management.High ethical standards, integrity, and governance orientations
