Job Description

CEO - consumer healthcare

- A leading Consumer Health company backed by global PE funds is looking for a CEO to lead the charter of growth for the company.
- The successful candidate should possess the right culture, vision, communication, decision-making, hands on problem-solving, management and leadership skills

- Experience of having worked in global FMCG/ consumer healthcare business would be an added advantage

- The CEO would lead oversight of the operations, marketing, financial aspects the chain.

- The individual would be integral to the marketing and sales operations, including strategic functions, cost control functions integral to delivery of the strategy and business plan.

- Ideally, the candidate would have worked on and delivered high growth private equity or investor funded companies.

- The CEO is expected to manage and lead a senior management team, which in turn leads other teams and have an operational oversight. Ability to function across several cultures will be key. The position would be based in Mumbai with some travel. He or she would report directly to the Chairman and the Board.

Qualifications :

- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation

- Prior experience in sales and marketing is a must; strong preference for medical devices, apparel, pharmaceuticals or FMCG sector

- Candidate needs to have experience of working outside India, or of having worked with large global players in the consumer sector (OTC products), orthopedic or wound care players, pharmaceutical or distribution companies

- MBA from a top tier institute is a plus

- Ability to work constructively with institutional investors and Board

- Documented success managing high achieving teams driving increasing sales.

- Documented success of optimizing direct and indirect costs, increasing sales, improving working capital cycle, implementing reporting, and tracking performance

- Strong presentation and communication skills. Able to present operational results in a clear format and have experience in presenting to Executive Management, HQ or Board Level

- Proven track record of coaching and mentoring teams

- Strategic mindset and exposure to analytical decision-making processes

- Solid corporate finance experience; past experience in M&A deal execution strongly preferred

- Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with key personnel and partners

- Fluency in English for both written and spoken communications

- History of positive customer and supplier relationships
