Position: Chief ESHS (Environment, Social, Health & Safety) Manager



Location: Mumbai (Project Site)



Project: Metro Rail - Power Supply, OHE, and E&M Works



Engagement: Full-time, till completion of Design-Build Period

Eligibility Criteria



Qualification:

Graduate in Engineering/Environment/Health & Safety with

minimum 10 years total work experience

, OR Diploma in Engineering/Environment/Health & Safety with

minimum 15 years total work experience

.

Relevant Similar Experience (ESHS):

Graduate -

minimum 5 years

' experience in

Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE/ESHS) management

in

Power Supply, OHE, or E&M works in Metro Rail / Suburban Rail / Mainline Railway projects

. Diploma -

minimum 10 years

similar experience in the above domains.

Deployment Requirement:

Must be posted

full-time in Mumbai

specifically for this project till completion of the Design-Build Period.

Key Responsibilities



1. ESHS Planning & Implementation



Develop, implement, and monitor the

Environment, Social, Health & Safety (ESHS) Management Plan

as per tender/contract requirements. Ensure compliance with

Appendix-6 of Part-2, Section-6L (ESHS requirements)

and all statutory safety regulations. Conduct

risk assessments, hazard identification, and mitigation planning

for all Power Supply, OHE, Civil & E&M activities.

2. Compliance & Monitoring



Ensure strict adherence to

Indian Labour Laws, Factories Act, Building & Other Construction Workers Act, and Environmental regulations

. Conduct

regular site inspections, ESHS audits, and compliance checks

. Monitor contractors' compliance with

ESHS standards, work permits, and safety practices

.

3. Training & Capacity Building



Develop and deliver

ESHS induction and refresher training programs

for workers, engineers, and subcontractors. Promote

safety awareness, environmental consciousness, and social responsibility

at all levels of the project. Implement

toolbox talks, safety drills, and emergency response preparedness

.

4. Incident & Emergency Management



Lead

incident/accident investigations

, prepare

root cause analysis reports

, and implement corrective measures. Establish and maintain

emergency response plans

(fire, electrical hazards, fall protection, evacuation, medical emergencies). Ensure availability of

first aid facilities, PPEs, and firefighting equipment

at site.

5. Reporting & Documentation



Maintain

ESHS records, accident logs, near-miss reports, and audit findings

. Submit

daily/weekly/monthly ESHS reports

to Project Director/Client Prepare

compliance documentation for statutory authorities and client inspections

.

Technical Skills & Competencies



In-depth knowledge of

international and Indian ESHS standards

(OSHAS/ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IFC Performance Standards). Strong understanding of

ESHS aspects in Metro Rail projects (Power Supply, OHE, and E&M works)

. Proficiency in

MS Office, ESHS reporting tools, and documentation systems

. Ability to

lead multi-disciplinary teams

, enforce compliance, and manage large manpower sites. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with

client, consultant, and government authorities

.

Deliverables



Zero major accidents/incidents, proactive mitigation of risks. Regular

ESHS reports, training records, and compliance documentation

. Final ESHS compliance and handover documents for project closeout.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹7,000,000.00 per year
