Minimum 7-10 years of experience in civil construction, preferably in redevelopment or large-scale residential projects.
Proven track record of handling multiple sites simultaneously.
Experience in managing site engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
Hands-on experience with quality control, safety management, and material management on construction sites.
Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, plumbing, and electrical drawings.
Skilled in AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and latest technologies.
Good command over cost estimation, quantity calculation, and Excel for project cost tracking.
Familiar with relevant building codes, UDCPR norms, safety regulations, and green building standards.
Ability to troubleshoot on-site technical issues and provide practical solutions.
Experience leading a team of site engineers and labour supervisors.
Ability to train, mentor, and empower junior engineers and site staff.
Strong organizational skills to coordinate activities across multiple sites.
Good communication skills to liaise with architects, consultants, vendors, and clients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure safety of workers, staff, visitors, and materials at all sites by implementing safety protocols and compliance.
Maintain proper security measures to prevent material theft or damage.
Ensure overall site cleanliness and systematic storage and organization of materials and tools.
Responsible for the overall quality of construction work on all sites.
Verify workmanship, finishing standards, and adherence to structural and architectural specifications.
Ensure proper reports and documentation are maintained for work quality and material quality.
Ensure timely execution of work as per the project timelines provided by the Project Manager.
Supervise daily site activities across all projects, resolving technical issues that arise.
Ensure sites are construction-ready before work begins (barricading, site office, utilities, safety setup).
Must be proficient in AutoCAD and capable of reading and interpreting structural, plumbing, electrical, and architectural drawings accurately.
Should be able to guide site teams using these drawings to avoid execution errors.
Estimate quantities and calculate costs for civil works using accurate methods and Excel skills.
Ensure optimal material usage and minimize wastage on all sites.
Get a minimum of 3 quotations before finalizing any contractor; negotiate and prepare comparative analysis charts.
Verify contractor and supplier bills; certify and forward to accounts with supporting documentation.
Ensure contracts are signed with all contractors before the commencement of work.
Coordinate with contractors throughout execution and ensure fulfilment of contract terms.
Act as the technical interface between site teams and external consultants (Architects, RCC, MEP, etc.).
Resolve on-site conflicts or discrepancies in drawings or execution through proactive coordination.
Assign tasks to all Site Engineers and ensure their performance is regularly monitored.
Provide technical support and training to junior engineers; encourage them to become independent and efficient.
Regularly visit all sites and maintain a follow-up sheet of action points and resolutions.
Inspect incoming material quality and ensure it meets project specifications.
Coordinate with vendors to address material issues, if any.
Ensure all tools and equipment are in working condition and calibrated when necessary.
Maintain inventory logs of equipment and oversee proper usage and maintenance.
Attend to customer complaints regarding civil execution and arrange for timely resolution through deployment of labour or subcontractors.
Maintain a complaint resolution log and ensure timely closures.
Coordinate with Green Building Agencies and ensure compliance with required green building practices on all sites.
Ensure all construction activities are compliant with building regulations and UDCPR norms as applicable.
Stay updated on new construction methods, materials, and technologies.
Recommend and pilot process improvements that reduce cost, increase speed, or improve quality.
Submit consolidated monthly technical reports for all sites, covering work status, material usage, quality, safety, contractor performance, and unresolved issues.
