overall planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of civil construction projects
. This role ensures projects are delivered
on time, within budget, as per drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
. The position involves leading project teams, coordinating with consultants and clients, and providing technical leadership across multiple sites.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution
Oversee
end-to-end execution
of civil works (structure, finishing, infrastructure)
Review and approve
drawings, method statements, and work schedules
Ensure adherence to
approved designs, specifications, and BOQ
Monitor project progress and resolve
technical and execution issues
Technical Leadership
Provide expert guidance on
construction methodologies
Review
structural drawings, shop drawings, and revisions
Approve material specifications and construction techniques
Handle complex site challenges and value engineering proposals
Team Management
Lead and manage
Project Managers, Engineers, QA/QC, and Site Teams
Allocate manpower and resources efficiently
Conduct performance reviews and mentor engineering staff
Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with
clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors
Attend progress meetings and present technical updates
Ensure smooth coordination between civil, MEP, and other disciplines
Quality Control & Safety
Ensure compliance with
quality standards, IS codes, and safety norms
Enforce
HSE policies
across all sites
Review QA/QC reports and corrective actions
Cost & Time Control
Monitor budgets and control
cost overruns
Review RA bills, variation orders, and claims
Ensure timely completion of milestones
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure statutory and contractual compliance
Review and approve
as-built drawings, reports, and handover documents
Qualifications & Experience
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
(M.Tech preferred)
15-25 years
of experience in construction industry
Proven experience handling
large-scale residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of
IS codes, construction practices, and project controls
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and decision-making skills
Excellent technical and problem-solving ability
Project planning & coordination
Cost control and contract management
Knowledge of safety and quality systems
Software knowledge:
MS Project / Primavera, AutoCAD, MS Office
