• Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of all engineering systems HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.
• Lead, schedule, and support the engineering team, ensuring effective coverage and high standards of work.
• Manage and implement preventive maintenance programs for equipment, guest rooms, and public areas.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests or emergencies, minimising disruption to operations and guests.
• Collaborate with department heads to support operational needs and ensure seamless service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as legal and brand requirements.
• Manage contractors, service providers, and external inspections, ensuring quality and timely work.
• Monitor and optimise energy use, utilities, and maintenance budgets.
• Keep detailed maintenance records and assist with capital planning and project implementation.
• Train your team on safety, emergency procedures, and best practices.

QualificationsWere looking for someone who brings both technical skill and creative spark:

• You have solid technical knowledge and previous experience in a senior engineering/maintenance role, ideally within the hotel industry.
• Youre confident managing a team and setting high standards for safety, quality, and service.
• Youre skilled in troubleshooting and quick thinking always ready with a plan B.
• Youre organised, calm under pressure, and happy to be on call when needed.
• You know your way around building systems and maintenance tools, and you understand the importance of documentation and compliance.
• Youre committed to keeping the hotel running smoothly so every guest has a great experience.
