Job Vacancy: Chief Distribution Officer (CDO)
Location: Kolkata
Our client, a private company registered at Registrar of Companies, Kolkata, is in search of a Chief Distribution Officer to become part of their team. The ideal candidate should possess at least 5 years of experience in ecommerce, currently holding a mid-management position and having familiarity with Zepto, Blinkit, Bigbasket, Instamart, or Flipkart. A solid educational background from a reputable B School is a must, and candidates should be at ease with the Kolkata location. This opportunity is available to candidates within 36 years of age from the ecommerce industry.
Key Responsibilities

• Formulate distribution strategies for entering new markets, identifying distributors, and collaborating with the field team to onboard distributors.

• Ensure successful new product launches and collaborate with the product team to establish a supply chain for client servicing.

• Plan revenue, forecast, and evaluate performance to ensure revenue goals are achieved.

• Define systems requirements and investments to support revenue streams.

• Monitor quality, quantity, delivery timelines, transport costs, and efficiency.

• Address problems or complaints related to customer/distributor operations.

• Supervise day-to-day operations and implement operational strategy, structure, and processes.

• Manage quarterly and annual budgeting process and P&L responsibilities.

• Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions.

• Maintain a working knowledge of all phases of operations and coordinate support throughout the business.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ecommerce with Zepto, Blinkit, Bigbasket, Instamart, or Flipkart.

• Strong educational background from a reputable B School.

• Comfortable with the Kolkata location.

• Candidates from the ecommerce industry.

• Age within 36 years.
