  • Lead the Compliance Function of the Company and strengthen the Compliance culture in the organization.
  • Assist the Board and the Senior Management in overseeing the implementation of Compliance Policy
  • Play the central role in identifying the level of Compliance risk in the organisation. The Compliance risks in existing / new products and processes shall be analysed and appropriate risk mitigants put in place
  • The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) shall be a member of the \'new product\' committee/s. All new products shall be subjected to intensive monitoring for at least the first six months of introduction to ensure that the indicative parameters of Compliance risk are adequately monitored.
  • Compliance Function shall monitor and test Compliance by performing sufficient and representative Compliance testing, and the results of such Compliance testing shall be reported to the Senior Management.
  • Ensure compliance of regulatory/ supervisory directions given by RBI in both letter and spirit in a time-bound and sustainable manner and compliance with Risk Mitigation Plan (RMP) / Monitorable Action Plan (MAP) points are complied with within the timelines prescribed
  • Attend to compliance with directions from other regulators in cases where the activities of the entity are not limited to the regulation/supervision of RBI.
  • The CCO will acts as the nodal point of contact between the NBFC and the regulators / supervisors and shall necessarily be a participant in the structured or other regular discussions held with RBI. Further, compliance to RBI inspection reports shall be communicated to RBI necessarily through the office of the Compliance Function
  • To provide consultation / timely clarifications on various regulatory matters within the organisation with respect to assigned functional areas
  • Develop and implement an effective compliance program that encompasses policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations. Continuously assess and enhance the compliance program based on evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities. Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks and monitor their implementation and effectiveness.
  • Establish and enforce comprehensive compliance policies and procedures that cover various areas of the organization\'s operations, including but not limited to legal, financial, operational, and data privacy. Ensure that employees are trained on these policies and procedures and provide ongoing guidance and support
Required Profile
  • Extensive experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex information, identify risks, and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • CA/CS/PGDM/Post Graduate or relevant Education
  • NBFC work experience is Must
Ability to handle leadership role.
