Job Description
Long Term Care Pharmacists provide support to patients admitted into long term care facilities. Their daily duties include filling prescriptions, educating patients on their treatment, planning long-term drug therapy, identifying drug interactions, and keeping the pharmacy area clean and organized. r r The ideal candidate for this role should be able to showcase the following skills in his or her resume: pharmacy expertise, organization, teamwork, integrity, effective communication, computer competences, and patient focus. Successful example resumes make display of a Pharmacy Doctor Degree and have specific training in long term care.r r A long-term care pharmacist is engaged by a long-term care pharmacy to provide pharmacy, infusion, education, consulting, and related services for a specific patient population. These pharmacists can focus on dispensing/ management operations or consultant services.
