Job Summary:

NIA Schools, Pollachi, is seeking a passionate and experienced P.G. Assistant (Higher Secondary Teacher) to teach Chemistry and Physics to students at the higher secondary level (Grades 11 and 12). The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Chemistry and Physics, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to nurturing young minds to excel in these subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Curriculum Development:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Chemistry and Physics according to the school's curriculum. Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning needs and foster a deep understanding of the subjects. Prepare and distribute learning materials such as notes, assignments, and practice tests to help students understand the course content thoroughly.

Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring:

Assess students' progress through tests, assignments, and examinations, and provide constructive feedback to support their learning. Monitor and report on student performance, providing additional support and resources for students who need them. Prepare students for board examinations and competitive exams by providing intensive coaching and guidance.

Classroom Management:

Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning. Manage classroom behavior by establishing clear rules and expectations, and enforce them consistently.

Communication and Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, concerns, and classroom activities. Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and professional development programs.

Continuous Professional Development:

Stay updated with the latest developments in Chemistry and Physics education, including new teaching methods, curriculum changes, and examination formats. Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.

Qualifications and Skills:

A Master's degree in Chemistry, Physics, or a related field. B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is mandatory. Proven experience of at least 2-3 years teaching Chemistry and Physics at the higher secondary level. Strong knowledge of the curriculum and syllabus prescribed by the education board. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using technology and digital tools for teaching and learning. Passionate about teaching and nurturing young minds.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with online teaching platforms and digital learning tools. Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their academic goals. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
