Job Description

We are hiring Proofreaders with expertise in Chemistry to proofread academic manuscripts that have already been peer reviewed and accepted for publication. The focus is on ensuring clarity, grammatical accuracy, and compliance with editing guidelines, without altering the scientific integrity or author's writing style.

Key Responsibilities

Proofread academic and technical manuscripts in Chemistry. Correct grammar, punctuation, tense consistency, and sentence clarity. Ensure accuracy and consistency between text, figures, and legends. Retain the author's style (tone, spelling preferences, abbreviations, punctuation). Make only necessary edits to improve readability and scientific accuracy. Maintain strict confidentiality of all manuscripts and related data.
Requirements:

B.Sc/M.Sc/PhD in Chemistry. Strong command of written Chemistry, English grammar and style. Typing speed of 30-35 WPM. Prior experience in chemistry proofreading. Ability to follow detailed editing guidelines and work independently. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency. Reliable internet connection and ability to meet strict deadlines.

Pay: ₹7,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
