We are urgently looking for an experienced

Chemist

to join our

Packaged Drinking

Water Plant Quality Control & Assurance Team

. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, safety, and compliance with FSSAI and BIS standards through chemical analysis and process monitoring.

Requirements:

B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry 2-5 years of proven experience in chemical testing within the food/beverage/water industry Prefer knowledge of

Packaged Drinking Water Standards

Hands-on experience in water quality analysis (pH, TDS, Turbidity, Hardness, Alkalinity, Nitrates, Chlorides, Heavy Metals, etc.) Familiarity with

HACCP, GMP, and ISO

procedures Ability to prepare, maintain, and document laboratory records accurately Immediate joiners preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine

chemical analysis

of raw water, treated water, and finished products Monitor critical quality parameters as per BIS and FSSAI requirements Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments such as pH meter, TDS meter, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, turbidity meter, etc. Ensure adherence to BIS, FSSAI, and other statutory norms Investigate quality deviations, analyze results, and recommend corrective actions Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of chemicals and reagents Coordinate with the Plant Manager and QC Head for quality assurance documentation and reports

KODAND Water Plant, Kilavallanadu, Thoothukudi (Tamil Nadu)
