. The candidate will be responsible for conducting chemical experiments, maintaining lab instrumentation, ensuring documentation accuracy, and supporting ongoing research projects related to chemical manufacturing and formulation development.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine and advanced
chemical experiments
as per research protocols.
Prepare, analyze, and interpret
sample results
using standard laboratory techniques.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment (pH meters, conductivity meters, heating mantles, analytical balances, etc.).
Ensure adherence to
lab safety protocols
, proper chemical handling, and waste disposal.
Maintain accurate documentation in lab notebooks, data sheets, and digital records.
Assist in
method development
, optimization, and troubleshooting of processes.
Coordinate procurement and stock management of chemicals, consumables, and equipment.
Support senior researchers in experiment setup, data analysis, and reporting.
Prepare sample batches for pilot-scale trials when necessary.
Required Qualifications
B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, Industrial Chemistry, or related fields.
Strong theoretical and practical understanding of chemical reactions and lab techniques.
Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and analytical tools.
Familiarity with SOPs, GLP, and safety regulations.
Proficiency in data recording, observation skills, and experimental precision.
Preferred Skills
Experience in formulation chemistry, water chemistry, or industrial chemical processes.
Knowledge of quality standards (ISO, BIS testing methods, etc.).
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Good communication and report-writing skills.
