As a QC Chemist, your primary role is to ensure the quality and integrity of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products in a chemical manufacturing setting. You'll be responsible for performing various analytical tests, interpreting results, and ensuring compliance with established standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Testing:
Conduct routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, titrations, spectrophotometry).
Interpret and analyze test results to verify conformity with specifications and quality standards.
Compliance Adherence:
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (BIS,FDA, cGMP, etc.) and company standards in all testing activities.
Document and maintain accurate records of all tests performed and results obtained.
Instrumentation and Equipment:
Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and perform routine maintenance.
Quality Assurance Support:
Collaborate with production and other departments to address quality concerns and assist in investigations related to non-conformances or deviations.
Participate in the development and validation of analytical methods.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in initiatives to enhance laboratory procedures and efficiency.
Contribute to the implementation of new technologies or methodologies for quality control purposes.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous.
2 years of experience working in a quality control laboratory within the chemical industry.
Proficiency in analytical techniques and instrumentation (HPLC, GC, titrations, etc.).
Strong understanding of quality control principles and regulatory requirements.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
