As a
Regulatory Data & Trade Compliance Specialist
, you will be the regulatory backbone of our MDM/PIM implementation team.
You will:
? Translate
global regulatory and trade compliance requirements
into structured product data for global producers and distributors.
? Support the master data team to ensure that attributes such as
SDS, labels, classifications, HS/HTS codes, transport data, and regulatory declarations
are correctly modeled, validated, and maintained on our platform.
? Work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure that every implementation is
regulatory-sound, trade-compliant, and audit-ready
.

Key Responsibilities1. Regulatory data ownership in PIM/MDM
? Define and maintain
regulatory data standards and attributes
(e.g., hazard classes, regulatory lists, inventories, trade codes) within the PIM/MDM data model for each client.
? Map and validate customer regulatory data (SDS, labels, classifications, use restrictions, inventories, etc.) into our taxonomy and schemas.
? Ensure regulatory data is
complete, consistent, and aligned
across products, markets, and systems.
2. Project Implementation
? Define the regulatory requirements for each client project based on the type of business, regions, or sales etc.
? Define regulatory data sources and lead the project team in data extraction, validation against the source, and regulatory enrichment to support our clients
? Provide guidance on
country- and region-specific regulatory requirements
for products(e.g., EU, US, Canada, APAC, EMEA).
3. Trade & customs compliance (HS/HTS and transport)
? Support customers in
assigning and validating HS/HTS codes
and related trade attributes for chemical products.
? Ensure that data required for
transport and dangerous goods regulations
(e.g., IATA, IMDG, DOT, TDG) is captured accurately where relevant.
? Work with customers' supply chain, logistics, and regulatory teams to ensure that the PIM/MDM data supports
customs clearance, export/import control, and screening
processes.
4. Regulatory queries & customer enablement
? Act as a
regulatory subject matter expert
on implementation projects--answering questions, reviewing data, and suggesting best practices.
? Join customer workshops and working sessions to align on
regulatory attributes, compliance documentation, and data governance
.
? Help design and deliver
training materials and sessions
for internal teams and customers on how regulatory data is captured and used in the customer platform.
5. Data quality, analytics, and continuous improvement
? Define
data quality rules and checks
for regulatory and trade-related fields.
? Use tools such as
Excel, Power BI, and internal reporting
to monitor data completeness, consistency, and anomalies.
? Collaborate with Product and Engineering to provide feedback on
regulatory features, UI/UX for regulatory fields, and future enhancements
(e.g., intelligent authoring, AI-powered checks).
? Ability to interpret
compliance impact
of inaccurate or incomplete data (e.g., HS/HTS code misclassification, REACH obligations, export restrictions, DG transport violations).
Qualifications
? Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, or related field
