Chemical Reaction & Solid Flow Simulation Engineer
to work on multiphysics modelling involving reaction kinetics, reactor design, granular material flow, and bulk solids handling. The role includes simulation, analysis, optimization, and technical documentation across chemical, pharmaceutical, minerals, energy, and manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities:
? Develop and simulate chemical reaction models for batch, continuous, and catalytic systems
? Perform heat & mass transfer, stoichiometry, and kinetics-based calculations
? Conduct process simulation using Aspen / COMSOL / ANSYS Fluent / Star-CCM+
? Analyse solid flow and granular behaviour using DEM tools (EDEM / Rocky DEM / LIGGGHTS)
? Evaluate silo/hopper discharge, mixing, segregation, wear, and conveying systems
? Conduct CFD-DEM coupled simulations where required
? Validate simulation models with experimental or plant data
? Prepare technical reports, visualisation outputs, and documentation
? Support R&D and design teams in optimisation and troubleshooting
Required Skills:
Knowledge of reaction engineering, mass transfer, and thermodynamics
Understanding of granular mechanics, bulk solids, or powder flow
Hands-on experience with CFD / Process simulation / DEM tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Ability to interpret results and prepare clear technical documentation
