Job Description

The Chemical Lab Assistant supports laboratory operations by preparing chemical solutions, conducting routine tests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment. This role plays a key part in assisting chemists and researchers with experiments and quality control procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and samples according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Assist in performing qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses. Collect, label, and organize samples for testing. Operate and maintain basic laboratory instruments (pH meter, spectrophotometer, balances, etc.). Record observations, test data, and results accurately in lab notebooks or digital systems. Follow safety guidelines, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory workspace. Assist in inventory management of chemicals, glassware, and lab supplies. Support senior chemists and lab technicians in research activities and experimental setups. Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols, GMP, GLP, and company regulations.
