Everest Carbon is the first Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) startup operating in India. Our business is permanently removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere at scale to tackle the climate crisis and North American and European corporates are paying us for that.

Our mission is to remove 1 Million tons of CO2 by 2026 and scale to 1 Billion tons per year by 2035.

We are a 15-member Venture Capital backed firm, with the leading Professor for our ERW method on board as a scientific advisor, are making revenues, and are currently in the process of certifying and listing our first large-scale project (>$6M) on global marketplaces.

Tasks

We are seeking a motivated and talented chemical engineering student to join our team as an intern. In this role, you will support the conceptualization and setup of the first experiment and modeling of the geochemical process for our rapid pace innovative carbon removal startup.

As an intern, you will work closely with our experienced team of chemical engineers and researchers to help bring our innovative technology to life. You will be responsible for supporting the conceptualization and design, as well as the setup and execution of our experiments. Moreover, you will also be working on developing models for our Geochemical process. You will also be responsible for collecting and analyzing data and communicating your findings to the rest of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the conceptualization and design of experiments.
  • Research and suggest experimental components and coordinate their deliveries and setup.
  • Collect and analyze data from experiments.
  • Communicate findings to the rest of the team.
  • Modeling of our geochemical process.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a chemical engineering program at an accredited university
  • Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with experimental design and execution
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Availability to work at least 40 hours per week
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with rapid prototyping or product development
  • Familiarity with software and simulation tools such as Matlab, Python, or LabView
  • Big Bonus: Experience with geochemical modeling software like PHREEQC
