Job Description

1. Key Responsibilities A. Process Design & Optimization



Develop, evaluate, and optimize chemical processes to improve yield, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Monitor key process parameters like temperature, concentration, pressure, pH, and flow rates. Conduct chemical trials, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities (Kaizen).

B. Production Support



Provide technical support to production teams to solve process-related issues. Ensure smooth operation of reactors, mixers, boilers, heat exchangers, effluent treatment plants, or surface treatment systems. Validate raw materials and chemicals used in production.

C. Quality Control & Assurance



Ensure processes meet product specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. Conduct lab tests, chemical analysis, titration, and calibration of instruments. Prepare and maintain technical documents, SOPs, MSDS, and quality logs.

D. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)



Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals as per MSDS guidelines. Conduct regular safety audits, HIRA, and risk assessments. Ensure compliance with environmental norms, pollution control regulations, and ISO standards.

E. Research & Development (If applicable)



Develop new formulations, improve existing products, and conduct pilot trials. Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams for new product development. Study chemical reactions, material compatibility, and process scale-up.

F. Equipment & Maintenance Support



Coordinate with maintenance for preventive maintenance of chemical processing equipment. Ensure proper calibration and functioning of laboratory and process equipment. Prepare equipment specifications for new installations if required.

G. Documentation & Reporting



Maintain production records, analysis reports, and chemical consumption data. Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports for management review. Document changes in process parameters, deviations, and corrective actions.

2. Skills & Competencies



Strong knowledge of chemical reactions, process control, and analytical techniques. Understanding of industrial safety, hazardous chemical handling, and environmental compliance. Ability to troubleshoot process issues and improve efficiency. Proficiency in chemical testing methods and lab equipment. Good communication, analytical ability, and team coordination skills. Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, ERP, SPC tools preferred).

3. Qualifications & Experience



B.E / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or related field. 1-5 years experience in chemical manufacturing, coatings, plating, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, or surface treatment industries. Freshers with strong academic background may also be considered (optional based on company).

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
