We are seeking an experienced and efficient Chef to manage bulk food preparation in a factory or industrial kitchen setup. The role involves large-scale cooking for employees or external supply, ensuring food quality, hygiene, and timely production.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals in large quantities as per daily production requirements.
Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines for consistency.
Ensure all meals are prepared hygienically and meet food safety standards.
Supervise kitchen helpers or assistants involved in cutting, cleaning, and pre-preparation work.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and work areas.
Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure proper storage and labelling of ingredients and cooked food.
Coordinate with the operations/production team to meet daily meal targets.
Requirements:
Proven experience in bulk or industrial cooking (e.g., in factory, hostel, catering unit, or canteen).
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to manage time and resources efficiently.
Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with good communication skills.
Formal culinary training or certification is a plus, but not mandatory with sufficient experience.
