Prepare and cook a variety of food items including snacks, beverages accompaniments, and cafe specials.
Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the kitchen at all times.
Manage kitchen inventory: track stock, request supplies, and minimize wastage.
Assist in planning new menu items and seasonal specials.
Train and guide junior kitchen staff in food preparation and hygiene.
Ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients.
Monitor kitchen equipment functionality and report maintenance needs.
Follow cafe policies regarding portion size, quality standards, and service time.
Collaborate with the cafe team to maintain smooth operations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef / Cook in a cafe, restaurant, or similar environment.
Knowledge of cafe-style menu items, snacks, and beverages.
Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays if required.
