Job Summary



We are seeking a skilled and versatile

Chef/Cook

to manage daily food preparation for our corporate canteen. The ideal candidate will be able to prepare a variety of dishes efficiently, maintain high food-quality standards, and ensure smooth kitchen operations while serving a diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities



Food Preparation & Cooking



Prepare and cook multiple menu items daily, including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and special meals. Follow standard recipes while maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes. Prepare meals in advance for peak service hours to ensure timely serving. Accommodate dietary requirements such as vegetarian, vegan, low-calorie, and allergen-free options.

Kitchen Operations



Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the kitchen at all times. Monitor food stock levels and assist in ordering ingredients and supplies. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines (HACCP or local regulations). Operate and maintain kitchen equipment responsibly.

Menu Planning & Quality Control



Assist in planning weekly rotating menus that meet employee preferences and budget requirements. Ensure food quality, freshness, and proper storage of raw materials. Minimize food waste through proper portioning and inventory management.

Customer Service



Interact politely with employees and respond to food-related queries. Support special company events or catering needs when required.

Qualifications & Skills



Must-Have:



Proven experience as a chef, cook, or similar role (canteen or high-volume kitchen preferred). Ability to prepare a wide range of dishes efficiently. Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations. Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure. Team-player with a positive and professional attitude.

Preferred:



Formal culinary training or food-handling certification. Experience in corporate, industrial, or institutional kitchen environments.

Work Schedule & Environment



Work hours typically Monday-Friday with occasional special-event support. Fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and time management.
