STRUCTURAL REBAR ENGINEER

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering / diploma Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a structural engineer expertized in drawing checking (rebar) Excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills. Possess a strong understanding of rebar detailing standards and procedures to meet the quality. Strong understanding of rebar detailing codes and standards. Proficiency in any rebar detailing software (

e.g., CADS RC, Rebar CAD, RGS, Rebar Plus etc).

Salary :

Between 25,000/- to 60,000/-

Location :

Trivandrum, Technopark, Kerala, India.

:

1. Checking the Latest Drawing:

Make sure that the detailing team is using the most recent version of the drawings. This drawing should have been thoroughly reviewed and approved for construction use. If any details are missing coordinate with client and raise Rfi's

2. Reinforcement Compliance:

Confirm that the reinforcement size and placement being used, which matches the approved design drawings.

3. Drawing Alignment:

Verify that the architectural and structural drawings are consistent and aligned with each other. This helps ensure that the shop drawings matches the intended structural design.

4. Approval of Bar Bending Schedule (BBS):

Ensure that the Bar Bending Schedule, which details the shapes and lengths of reinforcement bars, matches the design / shop drawings.

5. Bar Lap Length and Location:

Confirm that the overlap length of reinforcement bars (bar lap length) and their staggered positioning align with what is specified in the approved structural drawings.

6. Support and Spacing:

Verify whether the reinforcement drawings are provided with well-supported rebar's including the use of spacers or chair supports.

7. Cover to Reinforcement:

Examine the concrete cover on the top, bottom, and sides of the reinforcement is the correct thickness with reference with the design drawings.

8. CAD check:

Make sure that the shop drawings is drafted in proper layer, text style, font type, dimension type etc.
