1.) Job Purpose:
Designs new products and processes. Improving and maintaining existing products.
Work is primarily achieved by an individual. Requiring application of expertise in technical area(s) to achieve results. Progression within classification is reflected by increasing depth of professional knowledge, and ability to influence others. Work in global environment with other engineering and manufacturing locations. Major responsibilities are for Design of center link hooks, water bottle holders, tool box & mounting, Front axle, FAS, Battery securing, Wheel Rims, Decals etc
2.) Dimensions: -
Reporting through Superiors / Managers: Chief engineer/ Engg manager
Reporting through Subordinates: None
Position Responsibility: CPM/NPD/Competencies
3.) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute new Products projects and or Current Products for complete aggregate and or a part of aggregate. This involve design of parts, sub systems and systems
Conduct\support for design analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, and reliable.
Knowledge of Sheet metal, casting material selection, Tolerance stack up, surface treatment technologies and Standard documents
Knowledge of Tractor parameters and ability to update F&S Manual, Service manuals, Product Offerings
Knowledge of DIA kits and development process
Ability to drive DFA with Manufacturing Engineering Team
Knowledge in DFMEA, DMU, ECO creation and other design tool
Conduct Design review with cross functional team independently
Communicates with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and ensure project completion.
Ability to work with Launch team for support in line trials and production
Work with cross functional team to gather inputs and ensure that design is workable as per KPI

7) Qualification, Age and Experience: -
Education-
Minimum: engineering/diploma in mechanical or agricultural engineering
Professional Qualification-
NA.
Experience
For graduate engineers- 8+ years of experience in product development
For Diploma 10+ years of experience in design and development
Worked in a cross functional environment. Preference given to candidate from Tractor Industry or allied industry.
Age
25+ Years
8) Other Information :
Product design and development experience and ability deliver under minimal supervision.
Experience in working with cross functional team
