Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented

Chartered Accountant (CA)

with strong experience in

Direct Tax Audits

and

Indirect Tax (GST) Audits

. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of taxation laws, compliance frameworks, and audit procedures. This role involves conducting audits, ensuring statutory compliance, preparing tax reports, and providing expert advisory on tax matters to optimize the organization's tax efficiency and mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:1. Direct Tax Audit & Compliance:



Conduct and assist in

Tax Audits

as per the

Income Tax Act

, including preparation and filing of

Form 3CD

and related annexures. Review financial statements and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with

direct tax regulations

. Prepare and file

Income Tax Returns (ITR)

for individuals, firms, and corporate clients. Handle

tax assessments, appeals, and representations

before tax authorities. Advise management and clients on

tax planning

and

structuring opportunities

to ensure optimal tax efficiency.

2. Indirect Tax (GST) Audit & Compliance:



Conduct and support

GST Audits

under the

GST Act

, including reconciliation between financial statements and GST returns. Review and verify

input tax credit (ITC)

,

output tax liability

, and

GST return filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C)

. Ensure timely compliance with GST rules, notifications, and circulars issued by authorities. Handle queries and audits raised by GST departments and assist in resolving disputes. Provide advisory on

indirect tax implications

for various business transactions.

3. Financial Analysis & Reporting:



Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting key findings, non-compliances, and recommendations for corrective action. Assist management in

financial planning, budgeting, and risk assessment

from a tax perspective. Ensure all tax-related documentation and reconciliations are accurate and up to date.

4. Advisory & Representation:



Provide expert advice on

direct and indirect tax implications

for new business ventures, mergers, acquisitions, and cross-border transactions. Represent the organization or clients before tax authorities for

scrutiny assessments, appeals, and hearings

. Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and tax authorities as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:



Education:

Chartered Accountant (CA) - Member of the

Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)

.

Experience:

Hands-on experience with

Income Tax

,

TDS

, and

GST compliance

.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in tax audit tools, accounting software (Tally, Busy, SAP, etc.), and MS Excel. In-depth knowledge of

Income Tax Act, GST Law, and related notifications/circulars

. Strong understanding of tax audit reporting formats and procedures.

Soft Skills:

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple audits and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:



Experience in a

CA firm or corporate tax division

. Exposure to

statutory audits

and

internal audits

will be an added advantage.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
