Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate maintenance of financial records in line with IRDAI and statutory requirements.
Prepare and finalize financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) as per Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
Coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal, and IRDAI audits.
Ensure timely filing of all regulatory returns with IRDAI, ROC, and other statutory bodies.
Regulatory & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with IRDAI, Companies Act, Income Tax, and GST regulations.
Assist in preparation and submission of quarterly and annual IRDAI reports (e.g., financial returns, solvency statements).
Monitor adherence to internal control systems and implement corrective actions as needed.
Taxation & Statutory Filings
Manage direct and indirect taxation, including TDS, GST, and corporate income tax.
Coordinate with tax consultants for assessments, appeals, and tax audits.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support management decision-making.
Provide financial insights to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
Operational Support
Work closely with broking, claims, and operations teams to ensure accurate accounting of brokerage income, client receivables, and insurer payables.
Review commission reconciliations and assist in tracking revenue recognition.
