Chartered Accountant with Financial Planning Expertise
will serve as a primary financial advisor, responsible for managing all aspects of a client's financial life. This includes statutory financial compliance (accounting, auditing, and tax), as well as developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive financial plans to achieve specific short-term and long-term financial objectives. The ideal candidate will combine their rigorous accounting background with strategic financial advisory skills.
Key Responsibilities
Core Accounting and Compliance
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and examine financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP) and statutory requirements.
Tax Planning and Compliance:
Oversee all tax matters, including computing taxes owed, preparing and filing income tax returns (ITR), managing tax audits, and developing legal, tax-efficient strategies to minimize tax liabilities for individuals and businesses.
Auditing and Assurance:
Conduct internal or external financial audits to ensure proper financial management, identify control weaknesses, and provide reports and recommendations to management or clients.
Bookkeeping and Record Maintenance:
Supervise and maintain accurate financial records, general ledger, and accounting systems.
Comprehensive Financial Planning
Client Financial Assessment:
Conduct in-depth financial assessments to understand clients' current financial status, risk tolerance, and specific financial goals (e.g., retirement, education, business expansion).
Financial Plan Development:
Develop and present customized, comprehensive financial plans encompassing all aspects of financial well-being:
Investment Strategy:
Provide advisory on asset allocation, portfolio management, selection of investment instruments (equities, mutual funds, bonds, etc.), and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
Retirement Planning:
Estimate future needs, identify appropriate retirement savings vehicles, and ensure sufficient corpus accumulation.
Cash Flow and Budget Management:
Help clients create personal or corporate budgets, manage cash flow effectively, and develop debt reduction strategies.
Risk Management and Insurance:
Assess financial risks and recommend suitable life, health, property, and business insurance coverage.
Estate and Succession Planning:
Advise on wealth transfer, including drafting wills, trust structures, and tax-efficient succession strategies to protect and transfer assets.
Strategic Advisory:
Provide ongoing guidance to clients, adapting financial plans to changing life events, market conditions, economic shifts, and regulatory changes.
Financial Forecasting and Modeling:
Create financial models and projections to forecast future financial performance and evaluate the financial viability of strategic decisions and investment opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications
Chartered Accountant (CA) Designation:
Must hold a valid and current professional designation (e.g., ICAEW, CPA, CA India, etc.).
Experience:
Proven experience (X years minimum) in public accounting, corporate finance, or a financial advisory role, with demonstrated involvement in financial planning/wealth management.

Ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, foresee potential financial risks, and develop creative, practical solutions.
Communication & Interpersonal
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to clearly explain complex financial concepts to non-financial clients and build long-term trust and rapport.
