We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant to oversee the financial operations and provide comprehensive training to our finance team. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, compliance with US regulations, and the implementation of best practices in accounting and financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight:
Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US regulatory requirements.
Review and analyze financial statements, reports, and records to ensure accuracy and completeness in accordance with US GAAP.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies.
Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
Training and Development:
Develop and deliver training programs for finance and accounting staff on various topics including US accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify areas for further training and development.
Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:
Ensure compliance with US tax laws and regulations, including timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other statutory reports.
Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities as needed.
Stay updated on changes in US accounting standards and regulations and implement necessary changes in the organization.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficient and effective financial practices.
Lead projects aimed at enhancing financial systems and processes.
Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to senior management and other stakeholders
Qualifications:
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience at one of the Big 4 firms.
Proven experience in financial management, reporting, and compliance with US accounting standards.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, tax laws, and regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior staff.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
