Role Summary

We are hiring a

Chartered Accountant

for our

family office

to lead finance delivery for a key client: a

California-based legal firm (~80 lawyers)

. The role involves

end-to-end QuickBooks accounting, monthly MIS

, and

review/improvement of the client's check-writing/payment controls

. You will manage a small team of

1-2 members

. You may also support

investment research

and

family office tax/compliance

on an as-needed basis.

Core Responsibilities

1) Client Accounting & MIS (QuickBooks)

Own end-to-end accounting in

QuickBooks (QBO preferred)

: transaction review, reconciliations, vendor bills, and ledger hygiene. Drive

monthly close

: journal entries, account reconciliations, finalization of monthly books. Prepare

monthly MIS

: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, variance notes, and management summary. Coordinate with client stakeholders and external partners (payroll provider / US CPA, if applicable).

2) Payments / Check-writing Controls

Review and improve the client's

check-writing/payment process

(approval matrix, maker-checker, documentation standards). Maintain

SOPs, checklists, exception logs

, and periodic control reviews. Supervise

1-2 team members

for execution and quality review.
Optional Responsibilities (As Needed)

3) Investment Research Support (Family Office)

Support equity-focused research: screening, basic financial analysis, peer comparison, and concise research notes. Track portfolio/watchlist and summarize earnings/news into short briefs or memos.

4) Family Office Tax & Compliance Support

Coordinate with external consultants for periodic filings/compliance. Maintain working papers, schedules, documentation, and support for notices/audits as required.
Requirements

Qualified CA

, strong ownership mindset and attention to detail. Practical experience in

QuickBooks

and monthly close + reconciliations. Strong Excel/Google Sheets and reporting capability. Process-and-controls orientation; comfortable leading a small team. Ability to coordinate with US stakeholders (some time-zone overlap may be required).
Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹720,000.00 per year
