Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, taxation, audit, and budgeting, with the ability to support our manufacturing operations through accurate financial reporting and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation.
Handle taxation matters, including GST, income tax, TDS, and other statutory compliances, ensuring timely filings and adherence to Indian tax laws.
Conduct internal audits, identify financial risks, and implement controls to enhance operational efficiency.
Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support business decision-making.
Oversee cost accounting for manufacturing processes, including inventory valuation, production costing, and overhead allocation.
Liaise with external auditors, bankers, and regulatory authorities for audits, assessments, and financial certifications.
Analyze financial data to provide insights on profitability, cost reduction, and investment opportunities.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (Ind-AS/IFRS), company policies, and legal requirements.
Mentor junior finance team members and contribute to process improvements using financial software and tools.
Qualifications and Requirements
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Bachelor's degree in Commerce or a related field; additional certifications like CPA or CMA are a plus.
Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in finance, taxation, audit, and budgeting, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial sector.
Proven track record in handling complex financial operations in a high-volume production environment.
Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, taxation laws, and auditing standards.
Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Tally, or ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
