About the internship

The candidate will be responsible for practicing their accounting knowledge and skills in a professional setting. Their duties include supporting accounting teams with various accounting projects and tasks as they gain more confidence within their desired industry. An accounting intern is a temporary, entry-level position with a certified financial firm.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Monitor any discrepancies in payment, charges made on credit cards, and record any returns
2. Organize a financial filing system that is easily accessible
3. Prepare accounting reports to be presented to senior management
4. Track all payments made for tax preparation and follow up on returns
5. Communicate with clients about payments, refunds, and statements
6. Ensure that all clients receive their financial statements on time
7. Ensure the accuracy of financial statements, making sure that the final figures on statements are correct
8. Assist with the balancing of the office/department budget

Additional Information

Stipend structure: This is a performance-based internship. In addition to the minimum-assured stipend, you will also be paid a performance-linked incentive (? 1000 per work load).
