Job Summary: The Chartered Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company,
including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and taxation. The ideal candidate should have a
strong background in finance, impeccable attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of the diamond
manufacturing industry's financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
with accounting standards.
Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll,
and cash flow management.
Oversee and ensure timely tax filings, GST returns, and other statutory compliance requirements.
Conduct internal audits and develop risk management strategies to protect the company's assets and ensure
operational efficiency.
Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights, forecasting, and strategic planning for
business growth.
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth audit
processes.
Prepare financial reports and present them to the management team and stakeholders.
Monitor financial performance and identify areas for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including IFRS/GAAP and other applicable financial
guidelines.
Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Manage inventory valuation and reconciliation for diamond stock to ensure accurate reporting.
Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and standards to keep the company compliant.
Qualifications and Skills:
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in the diamond or Gem & Jewellery
sector (is must).
Strong knowledge of financial management principles, auditing, taxation, and compliance.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly to non-
financial stakeholders.
Experience in inventory management and reconciliation within the diamond or luxury goods industry is a
plus.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
