Job Description

A CA (Chartered Accountant) in the import-export industry typically handles financial and accounting aspects of international trade, ensuring compliance with regulations and optimizing financial operations. This includes managing import/export documentation, calculating duties and taxes, handling payments, and ensuring adherence to import/export laws and regulations. Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

Managing all financial transactions related to import and export activities, including payments to vendors, customers, and shipping companies.

Documentation:

Preparing and reviewing import/export documentation, such as bills of lading, air waybills, and customs declarations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Compliance:

Ensuring all import and export activities comply with relevant local and international laws, regulations, and trade agreements.

Cost Analysis:

Analyzing and verifying import costs, including freight, insurance, and customs duties.

Reporting:

Preparing financial reports related to import/export activities, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

Relationship Management:

Building and maintaining relationships with vendors, customers, and other stakeholders involved in the import/export process.

Process Improvement:

Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs in import/export operations.

Inventory Management:

Managing and tracking inventory related to import/export activities.
Skills:

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management. Excellent knowledge of import/export regulations and trade laws. Proficiency in preparing and reviewing import/export documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in relevant software and systems.
Specific Tasks:

Calculating and paying import duties and taxes. Applying for duty drawbacks or refunds. Purchasing insurance on goods. Tracking and tracing shipments. Coordinating transportation and logistics. Providing customer service related to import/export activities. Working with customs brokers and other service providers. Staying updated on changes in import/export regulations.
Experience Required - 5+ yr specific industry.

Pay: ?50,000.00 - ?60,000.00 per month
