Short Description

Electric or mechanical expert engineer leading the electric traction motor platforms developments, with
end to end responsibility for the complete product lifecycle: concept, specification, development,
validation and industrialization. In-depth knowledge of the complete electric motor: electromagnetic,
mechanical, NVH and thermal. A qualified engineer with sound knowledge of automotive design, functional
safety implementation as well as electric motor manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

Motor topologies like AFM, PMSM, SRM and SynRel motors.
Experience in motor winding pattern definition, isolation and

technology selection.

Wide knowledge of electromagnetic materials and their

suitability for a project.

Experience in innovative electric motor designs for traction

applications.

Experience in electric motor production equipment and

production process.

Experience in electric motor thermal management.
Sound knowledge in motor bearing selection, GD&T,

tolerance stack-up analysis.

Sound knowledge of sealing methods and their selection.

IEC/EN/AIS/UL regulations.

Design for compliance with EMI/EMC and ESD regulations.

Environmental, thermal and endurance testing for

component validation.

Knowledge of gearbox design and the interface with the

motor.

MATLAB and Simulink modelling experience and capability.

Knowledge of CATIA.

Knowledge of PLM will be an added advantage.
DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, DFA analysis.
