Job Summary

The EV Charger Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations. This role ensures high-quality technical support, safe work practices, and timely project completion at residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities

Install AC and DC EV chargers at customer locations as per technical drawings and safety standards. Perform routine maintenance, testing, and inspections on EV charging equipment. Diagnose and repair faults related to electrical wiring, connectivity, network issues, hardware, and software of chargers. Configure charger settings, software updates, and backend connectivity (OCPP, Wi-Fi, SIM, etc.). Conduct site surveys to assess electrical load, cabling routes, and installation requirements. Ensure proper earthing, load management, and MCB/RCBO/Surge Protection setup. Maintain documentation for installations, service reports, and material usage. Coordinate with customers, project teams, and OEM technical support for issue resolution. Follow safety protocols, electrical codes, and company standards at all job sites. Provide training and guidance to customers on charger operation and basic troubleshooting. Support commissioning of chargers and ensure smooth handover to clients.

Skills & Qualifications

ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or related field. 1-3 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance (EV charger experience preferred). Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, single-phase & three-phase systems. Familiarity with EV chargers, OCPP, networking, and basic IT troubleshooting. Ability to read electrical diagrams and operate testing tools (multimeter, clamp meter, etc.). Good problem-solving skills and customer-handling ability. Willingness to travel and work on-site.
