About the Role:

We are looking for a

talented Character Designer

to join our 2D animation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of storytelling, anatomy, proportion, and appeal, with the ability to create expressive and dynamic character designs that fit the project's style and tone.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop original and visually engaging

2D character designs

based on scripts, concepts, and creative briefs. Work closely with the

Director, Art Director, and Animation Team

to ensure designs align with the project's visual language. Create detailed

turnarounds, expression sheets, and pose studies

for production. Design costumes, props, and variations that reflect personality, story, and movement. Refine and adapt designs based on feedback while maintaining visual consistency. Prepare clean and organized design files for the animation pipeline. Collaborate with storyboard and layout artists to ensure characters translate well into motion.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in

Animation, Fine Arts, Illustration, or a related field

(or equivalent experience). Proven experience as a

Character Designer

in 2D animation (TV series, film, or digital media). Strong knowledge of

human and creature anatomy, gesture, and expression

. Proficiency in design software such as

Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Toon Boom Harmony

. Strong understanding of color, form, and visual storytelling. Excellent communication and time-management skills. Ability to adapt to different artistic styles as per project needs.

Good to Have:

Experience with

animation principles

and how design influences movement. Familiarity with

storyboarding and layout

processes. Knowledge of

2D rigging or animation

tools (optional but valuable). Passion for visual storytelling, creativity, and collaboration.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
