The Channel Sales Manager - South Region (Retail Hardware) will be responsible for developing and managing retail channel partners, distributors, and large format retail outlets across South India. The role focuses on achieving sales targets for hardware products (such as PCs, laptops, printers, accessories, consumer IT hardware), driving retail presence, and strengthening brand visibility through effective partner management.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute retail channel sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets for the South region.
Manage relationships with retail partners, distributors, and large format retail (LFR) stores.
Expand retail footprint by identifying and onboarding new retailers and resellers.
Monitor stock availability, product display, and in-store promotions to maximize sell-out.
Drive channel incentives, schemes, and promotional campaigns to boost partner engagement.
Conduct training and enablement sessions for retail staff on product knowledge and selling techniques.
Ensure consistent branding and visibility in retail outlets through coordination with marketing teams.
Track competitor activities, retail trends, and consumer buying patterns to refine sales strategy.
Conduct periodic business reviews with retail partners to assess performance and suggest improvements.
Provide regular MIS reports on sales performance, channel activities, and retail operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
4-7 years of proven experience in
channel/retail sales of hardware or consumer IT products
.
Strong network and understanding of retail distribution and large-format retail ecosystem in South India.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Experience in handling channel schemes, promotions, and retail marketing activities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a result-oriented approach.
Willingness to travel extensively across the South region.
