Job Title: Channel Development Manager - Rural
Location: Bangalore
Reporting to: National Sales Development Head
: The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategizing and implementing Rural
Distribution agendas Pan India and drive Rural Key result Areas(KRAs).We are looking for a proactive
and results-oriented FMCG Rural Channel Development Manager to drive the expansion and
optimization of distribution channels in rural markets.
Responsibilities:
? Identify and prioritize target rural markets and segments for channel development.
? Develop and implement channel development strategies and action plans to expand market
coverage and penetration in rural areas.
? Identify the opportunities to expand distributors, wholesalers, and retailers in rural markets.
? Monitor and analyse channel performance, market trends, and competitor activities in rural
markets.
? Work closely with sales, marketing, and regional teams to ensure effective coordination and
execution of channel development initiatives.
? Implement Channel led programs to enhance product visibility and availability in rural stores
and outlets.
? Provide regular reports and updates on channel development activities, market conditions,
and competitor insights to senior management.
? Address rural market inquiries, issues, and concerns from the sales team in a timely and
satisfactory manner.
Requirements:
? Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Marketing
? Proven experience in channel development, preferably in the FMCG industry and rural
markets.
? Strong understanding of rural market dynamics, distribution channels, and consumer
behaviour.
? Excellent Analytical, Cross functional and sales development skills
? Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
