About the role
We are recruiting a Senior Business Change Manager
The role objective is to enable strategic programs to realise their intended value by defining and executing interventions to increase and maximise adoption at pace. These roles focus on the human side of change, which is about preparing, and equipping our colleagues to adopt and adapt to changes in job roles, organisation structures, business processes, systems, and technology, and more.
The role is a key member of the Enterprise Programme Delivery team, part of the Performance, Transformation and Technical Delivery function within Haleon's Digital & Technology organisation.
Key responsibilities
The Senior Business Change Manager will be expected to:Coach Technical Leaders: Guide technical leaders to achieve desired outcomes and realize benefits, ensuring unified leadership support to facilitate smooth technical change processes. Strategic Diagnosis: Analyse the organization's strategy, structure, processes, and culture, considering technical, organizational, individual, economic, cultural, social, and political forces when diagnosing change. Strategic Reporting: Review and report on change outcomes and benefits at both strategic and technical organizational levels. Impact Assessment: Evaluate the cumulative impact of changes on technical operational capabilities and responsibilities, particularly for iterative or adaptive technical initiatives. Training and Support: Collaborate with business owners and technical subject matter experts to ensure appropriate training, support, and capability-building plans are in place for all technical stakeholders. Risk Mitigation: Identify, document, and support the mitigation of change risks related to technical initiatives within their area of focus. Business Readiness: Advise on business readiness activities (e.g., Go/No Go decisions), highlighting areas of potential risk using insights from readiness assessments. Assess employees' readiness for technical change, build change and communication plans, and conduct regular reviews.

Qualifications and skills
To be effective in role, experience of the following will be essential:Understanding of Technical Change Dynamics: 15+ years' experience of solid understanding of how people experience change in technical environments, including the change process and drivers of resistance/barriers to adoption in IT settings. Cultural Insight: Ability to identify both the overt and covert technical cultures of the organization and their influence on change initiatives. Change Management Expertise: Understands and applies the principles, types, and stages of change, developing approaches tailored to technical delivery situations. Multitasking in Technical Contexts: Able to manage the priorities of multiple technical activities and stakeholders, meeting diverse and sometimes conflicting deadlines.

Preferred experience:
Experience working on a complex portfolio of initiatives that involve multiple change elements across people, policy, process, and technology preferred.
PROSCI and/or APMG Change Practitioner certification preferred.
