We are seeking a Welding Inspector (QA/QC) to join our Quality Department.
The position focuses on overseeing welding and brazing operations and ensuring all activities meet applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, review, and validate Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
Verify adherence to ASME, AWS, API, ISO, and project?specific quality standards.
Perform visual inspections on welds, joints, and related fabrication work.
Manage Brazing Procedure Specifications (BPS) and Brazer Qualification Tests (BQT).
Witness, assess, and document welder and brazer qualification tests.
Coordinate Non?Destructive Testing (RT, UT, MT, PT) and evaluate inspection reports.
Maintain accurate inspection logs, quality reports, and final documentation dossiers.
Required Qualifications
B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
CSWIP 3.1 or AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification.
2-5 years of experience in welding/brazing inspection within oil & gas, construction, or fabrication sectors.
Strong understanding of WPS, PQR, WQT, BPS, BQT, and NDT methodologies.
Working knowledge of ASME Section IX, AWS D1.x, API, and ISO standards.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Valid driving license for site visits and mobility.
